Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as told by Christian (US version)- Details
E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe. Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, available now.Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty—until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him—past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart. Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him? This book is intended for mature audiences.

Reviews
I liked the original trilogy, the characters and the psychology, but this "Christian-version" is lackluster. It is obvious that miss James doesn't understand BDSM and even D/s and their relationships nearly as much as she should to write something like this. There is no fresh insight into Christian's character nor the Dom psychology, just a simple change of narrator. The erotica is trite and tired, it gets old even faster than it did in the original trilogy. The lightness and humour brought by Ana's ingnue and naive character is also gone, which leaves the narrative flat.Granted it's hard to write from a male perspective when you're female, even harder to write from a male Dom perspective when you're female and not part of the scene, but EL James has made a truly boring mess of it.This Christian-version covers more or less the first book of the trilogy, let's hope James doesn't continue with the rest unless she's ready, willing and able to truly do her homework. There was a lot of eye-rolling through this book; all done by me.
